In the article St. Anthony of Padua – Patron Saint of Lost Things I’ ve presented the short biography of the famous saint, miracles he worked, popular devotions and prayers to St. Anthony and how he is traditionally portraited.
In my family, we venerate and adore this popular saint. Usually, pray to him when we cannot find lost items or when we search for a parking place. Recently I made a pilgrimage to Padua. The visit of the Basilica of St. Anthony impressed me very much. I decided to learn more about his life.
Below are the reviews of both my favorite book and the movie on Saint Anthony of Padova biography. I highly recommend reading and watching both of them to everyone who wants to know more about one of the most popular Saints in Christian history.

Description: | The first major feature-length drama on the life of St. Anthony of Padua, one of the most popular saints in Christian history. Made in Italy with top-notch acting talent, and superb cinematography, this is an outstanding film on the inspiring life of St. Anthony. It presents Anthony as a strong and appealing person who sacrificed wealth, popularity and looks for the Kingdom of God. It beautifully portrays the power of his preaching, the holiness of his life, his love for the poor and oppressed, and the wonders of his miracles. Sure to be a very popular film! |

Customer review: | “I love this film. So moving and inspirational. It left me the desire to be closer to God through St. Anthony and to imitate the virtues he practiced. Highly recommend it. I didn’t mind following the film with English subtitles, in fact, I enjoyed the Italian language. I’m keeping it to watch it again to boost fervor towards God and this saint. One thing: If you are ordering this film from the UK, you will get a hefty tax added when you collect it, so it’s worth checking how much each provider charges for the tax BEFORE delivery.” |
